Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 June 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Rebecca King trading as Pitch Pocket, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using Pitch Pocket at https://pitch-pocket.com, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are using Pitch Pocket on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. The service

Pitch Pocket is a web application that helps writers organise pitching opportunities, track deadlines, and manage their submission pipeline. We offer a free plan and an optional paid Pro plan with additional features.

We may update, improve, or discontinue features over time. We will try to avoid changes that materially reduce core functionality for paying subscribers without reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@pitch-pocket.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Pitch Pocket. One person should not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits.

4. Free and Pro plans

Free plan includes core features subject to usage limits (for example a monthly cap on AI URL imports) as described on our website at the time you use them.

Pro plan is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features such as unlimited URL imports, email deadline reminders, CSV export, and access to the weekly opportunity feed. Exact features and pricing are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. Prices are shown in the currency presented at checkout and include applicable taxes where Stripe calculates them.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal.

If a payment fails, we may suspend Pro access after a reasonable grace period until payment succeeds.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel Pro at any time from your account billing settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges. You will keep Pro access until the end of your current paid period, then your account reverts to the free plan.

Deleting your account cancels any active subscription and removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Refunds and cooling-off

General policy: subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started and Pro features have been available to you. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period when you cancel mid-cycle — you retain access until the period ends.

UK and EEA consumers: if you are a consumer, you may have a 14-day right to cancel under consumer protection laws. Because Pro is digital content supplied immediately, you may be asked at checkout to confirm that you want immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once service begins. If you have not used Pro features and contact us within 14 days of your first purchase, we will consider a full refund at our discretion.

Exceptions: we will refund or credit charges that were made in error, duplicated, or where a prolonged technical failure on our side prevented meaningful use of Pro. Contact hello@pitch-pocket.com with your account email and payment details.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes;
  • attempt to access another user's account or our systems without permission;
  • scrape, overload, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
  • circumvent plan limits, paywalls, or security measures;
  • upload malware or content that infringes others' rights;
  • resell or commercially exploit the service without our written consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

9. Your content

You retain ownership of the opportunity data and other content you add to Pitch Pocket. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, back up, and display that content solely to provide the service — including sending URLs to our AI provider when you request an import.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and process any content you add, including third-party material from URLs you import.

10. Intellectual property

Pitch Pocket, its design, branding, code, and curated weekly opportunity content (where applicable) are owned by Rebecca King or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or software except the limited right to use the service as intended.

11. Third-party services

The service integrates with third parties such as Stripe and Supabase. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from opportunities you save.

12. Availability and disclaimers

We provide Pitch Pocket on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. AI import results may be inaccurate — always review extracted details before relying on them.

Pitch Pocket is a productivity tool. We do not guarantee publication, payment, or acceptance of any pitch.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rebecca King is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

14. Termination

You may stop using Pitch Pocket at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service (with reasonable notice where practicable).

Sections that by nature should survive (including payment obligations accrued, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue after termination.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in the UK or another jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protections, those protections still apply to you.

Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example by email or in-app notice) before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
